Chloroform/Trichloromethane:
Chloroform is an organic solvent that is not miscible with water. Chloroform is primarily used as a precursor to fluoropolymers (PTFE's like Teflon (TR)) and refrigerants(a declining market).

Market Dynamics:
The primary use of chloroform is to make refrigerants, however, this market is declining due to environmental concerns. Other uses include  fluoropolymers and to a smaller extent, laboratory reagents and pharmaceuticals.
