Ammonium Hydroxide (Ammonia):

Ammonium hydroxide (commonly called "ammonia") is the a solution of ammonia gas and water.


Note: Ammonium Hydroxide is the liquid/hydrated form of Ammonia. It is important to note that Ammonium hydroxide is prone to a bulging/collapsing drum based on temperature: 
Bulging drums at 90°F: Solutions of  28 – 29% concentration boil around 85°F  , and at 90°F, the drum could bulge
Collapsing drums at 50°F: Drums of solutions of  28 – 29% can contract when the temperature drops below 50°F.

Market Dynamics:
Ammonia (gas) is poisonous making it difficult to ship in the gaseous state.  Much of ammonia gas is converted to more transport friendly forms, like urea, fertilizers and ammonium hydroxide. Approximately 90% of the ammonia produced goes into various fertilizers, so small demand increases in fertilizer can impact Biotech (Urea, TRIS, Ammonium Sulfate) and Electronics (Nitric acid).
